Disadvantage to recording fuel purchases

I record my gas purchases and I just discovered that I have spent nearly $17,000 on gas since bought this Z.
Join me in saying, "Holy Crap".

I'll just say it's $3.65/gal. here for e-free93 & with a heavy foot lately...down in the low 23mpg range. (just over 73k mi.)

My brother, the freak, has 4 Volts.
I made him give me his man card after the first.
$17,000 is pretty cheap for a permanent grin.

Good thing my fuel purchases nowadays have a 50% discount.

Be glad you're paying for fuel for a motorhome. My last trip with it was 6,000 miles. Spent $2,500 on fuel. So quit you're belly aching. :icon17:

Well the with 250,00 miles I did with my Z gas was about 50k Canadian for 6 years...

What is the point or concern here? It's a sports car.

Prius owners rejoice! (?). I don't think so.

I am stating the obvious here and I am personally cool with it. The cost of ownership is high for us who mod our Z's. I keep my mod and service receipts and occasionally look at it. I am also 72k into it here in CA. Never once did I say wtf.

It's just a shock when you see how much money you've spent on gas.

Zoren 370 10-23-2016 12:11 PM

^ now you know. So quit and just enjoy you car and be blessed that your have money to spend.

i dont play golf or anything so the amount i spend on gas is reasonable for an adult's hobby. :D

Got my Z in the beginning of may, and stopped driving it just a month ago.
Total of 4 months and my gas cost was $1480~ish

Makes you think how much a fun drive costs compared to an economy car.

Had a Prius last year, spend less than $1000 on gas in the 24 month period i had it. I've noticed that sluggish cars make me want to drive slower and more efficient also. Used to get 65 MPG going to work in that car :/
