Lol idk why everyone thinks this swap is so expensive. It's just about the same price as building and boosting the VQ. The difference is everything for an LS is significantly cheaper. There's a reason people are able to do these swaps in their backyards all across the country. if I had the balls, I'd throw some $300 5.3 in there with a eBay turbo kit and drive the piss out of it but my luck isn't that good lol

C7 Z06 all day long.

Oh I never knew he posted here. I've been in contact with him a few times when he first started his build. Nice guy. He lives in state that's emissions friendly so the car won't have to do any crazy inspections. I'm in NY, whole different game.

his car is nassssty

seen and heard it in person a few times.

How's it pull? I've never really seen it take off. It sounds sick with the cam. I'm really only boosting it for the antilag flame show lol.

I disagree. I have worked the numbers already. It's about 50% cheaper than a boosted VQ. If you pawn off all the work... yeah it will be more expensive.

C7 all day!! First off its new vs old so c7 wins. Easy vs hard to obtain = c7 wins. Trouble free for years vs trouble even before you start the build = c7. Looks sexy = yup, c7 looks. Better than Z imo. Design to lay globs of power down in the Twisties and straight vs only going Twisties and totally suck straight = c7 wins. Ohh there is plenty more but you get the idea. I love my Z but I'd trade it for a new c7 any day. Boosted z are cool and rare find but so is a z06/7.

Edit: I forgot to mention that a cam and exhaust v8 just sound nasty!! It always turns my head when I hear one rolling Cuz it sounds like the car is about to go eat a Prius !! Lol. So bad azz!

Short List

C7 warranty. LS 370z no warranty.
C7 new tech. 370z old tech.
C7 no millage on non-engine stuff. 370z has millage.
C7 suspension for track comes with it. 370z need to buy $2k+ coilovers and still aren't as good as the C7.
C7 new car smell.

Or buy a base 981 and swap in a 3.8 911S engine with warranty (Porsche gives core credit for 2.7L engines get $6k back). Mid Engine over everything. ;)

For street use, C7 Z06 for sure. If you track every weekend, stay with 370z unless you are willing and able to deal with replacement parts costs. Tires and rotors alone will burn a hole in your pocket.
