Is the market for the Zs really soft right now?

Once the redesigned Z with steer-by-wire comes out, used Z's will be in high demand.

i hate steer by wire, i hate electronic steering assist while it might remove torque steer on fwd cars.

subaru did it right by keeping the hydraulic pump style on their current wrx/sti.

Yeah its soft. No one's buying the Z now that the hype has worn off and Mustangs and Camaros have been redesigned in the last couple of years. If you look at the new dealer inventory for the Z, there's a ton of them. But even the Mustang and Camaro are seeing sales drop.

I bought the Z at the right time for me since I its a second car and I plan on keeping it for 10 years. I don't think it will survive in sports car form for the next iteration. I'm convinced Nissan will go Gripz on the next Z and to be honest, its a smart move if they want to keep the Z nameplate alive. The SUV market in all forms - small, crossover, luxury is red hot right now and from a business standpoint if I were developing a car for 5 years of projected future sales I would be looking at the SUV market not the sports car one. Toyota will find this out with the Supra.

Heck, I'd probably buy the Gripz when my daily driver is due for replacement.

Well considering it says "concept" right on the back I'd assume the former, lol.

It's a buyers market all around for most cars but Z's are taking it especially hard.

For what it's worth, I sold my Z in October 2015 prior to moving to China. 2009 PG Nismo. 45k miles. MXP exhaust, 20" Volk G2 wheels, AEM EFI Intakes, Swift Springs, Alpine AVIC head unit, etc.

Received $25k after 1 week of opening the listing. The car was listed on Autotrader.

Earlier that year, I sold a 4Runner after being listed for 1 week on Autotrader, which also went for a good price.

Craigslist attracts sketchy people who will waste your time. Dealers will rip you off given they need to make a margin.

Try Autotrader.

I was located in Orange County, CA at the time.

The market is very soft!

Have been trying to sell my 09 Touring with 56K miles and 6 speed manual for $15K and no takers for the past month.

I could easily sell my 00 S2000 with 19K miles for much more than that!

Z is a great car, not sure what has happened to the resale and market. Might hold off and keep it longer if needed and wait it out. Although I'm picking up my RC F in 2 days and need the garage space.
