Damn Nismo package... But really it doesn't add up.
I would say different days and different conditions considering the time gap is so small, but who knows maybe the driver was more comfortable in the 135i.

yeah I read that article and I've come to the conclusion that the driver was incompetant. Clearly he was comfortable in some cars way more than others, I know he's from some racing background but that doesn't translate to "stig like" skills

hmmm I thought the Z would perform better than the Camero SS, since it's a track inspired car. Maybe it is a driver, personally I'm not hating the Camero incase anyone thinks that I am. I just thought the Z would pull out corners better than Camero could.

Went half way through the video but motortrend has a slow upload so i gave up watching.
My original theory was that if a camaro SS is faster than 370z on a track, the track must be large and have more straights than it does corners. After watching it indeed has many straights were power is king. You also notice the Lotus Elise, maybe the best handling car on that page is beaten by a camaro ss. This kind of told me what kind of track it was before i even looked at the videos. You can also notice that the list is kind of organized by the cars with the most power to the ones with the least power, yet again pointing out what type of track it is.

Laguna Seca is a proper road course, and although the Z put down a slower time than the SS, I gotta give the SS some credit. I'm not big on American cars but that car has come a long way. Although I still don't like it's styling queues its a well rounded car and it proved it by out performing the Z. And honestly, when I compare the Z's time with the Evo, 135i and Lotus, it adds up to me. The driver may have made some minor mistakes here and there during the timed runs, but those times are consistent IMO.

Lol i bet half of those lap times are fake, they just make up numbers and stats so they can write an article about it which will also be completely biased based on whoever pays them the most...

Wow! Well, if the only complaint he had about the Nismo is that is SOUNDS like it's on the "school bus side of things", then I'll take it!! Many other cars had performance/handling/suspension issues, but if it's only the "sound" of the engine that you could find imperfect, then why bother saying anything negative at all?? Lol. Way to go Nissan!!!!
