I had a Z meet and my buddy had his Lotus Esprit V8TT (2003 I believe) and some people said look at all the Porche's and Lambo!!?

Most people have no idea. Personally I could care less about what model Mustang someone drives or whatever but I still know the difference between a GT, Cobra etc.
Just need to realize most of these people have never owned a sports car excluding their sick garage on Need for Speed Underground or Forza haha.

But not to side track, I remember those times when I was a kid seeing some cool cars without knowing what they were at first. I was already on the company of a car collector so to see something different just really piqued my interest because it was like "where the hell did that come from?" since I thought I saw everything at least in a magazine.

So when I see/hear kids outside reacting to my Z it's cool. Not in that showboating way, but it's a throwback thought to when I was in their shoes.

That happened to me yesterday on the highway. I'm driving along and look to my left and there's a kid in the passenger seat of an SUV next to me who looks over at my Z and his eyes light up and you can see him get excited as he gave me a thumbs up. Not sure if he knew what car it was, but it was cool to see that now knowing I used to do the same thing.

And to answer the original thread question, yes, I've been told "Sweet GTR" on three separate occasions.

welp, at age 19, i thought my life was about to come to an end tonight. i believe it was a toyota camry that failed to use their signal when switching into my lane which caused me to brake harder than i ever want to and swerve into oncoming traffic. luckily, nobody was close enough to cause any damage to my vehicle. as i cruise into a parking lot(still facing oncoming traffic) i regained my senses and proceeded to meet my gf. God is good

^^Nope, you chose the correct thread. According to the thread title, "Some kids thought your car was a Good Target to Ram".

I get told by a lot of my "older" friends who are in their 40's and 50's that I have a nice 300z, or they will ask about my 300z. Im guessing because they were young adults when the 300zx was around.

I hope folks continue to think my Nismo is a Porche. I keep seeing , the man, flying by the other direction for some reason on the interstate. I have no idea for what.
