DD is a '16 F350 diesel crew dually, nothing much to compare

My Z is my daily driver. Come to think of it, I've never had more than one car at a time.
|
2006 Acura TL A-Spec Dynamic.
The "dynamic" moniker wasn't actually well known, besides for in dealerships (and on the sales summary sheet). The Dynamic came with a 6MT, LSD, Brembo brakes on the front, amongst some other minor goodies over the auto version. I also have the OEM Navi in mine, and I've added some bolt ons over the years. Exhaust, intake, wheels, beefier rear swaybar, throttle body spacer, lowering springs, etc... I'm an old school Honda guy, but these days Honda/Acura is nothing short of disappointing. The companies have become "vanilla" through and through, since 2008. Reliability sucks. Any trace of sportiness is gone. Just disappointing. It's sad when Hyundai/Kia have surpassed Acura/Honda in every way imaginable. Speaking of which, I also have a 2012 Hyundai Sonata 2.0T Limited w/ Navi, however, it's the wife's daily that I occasionally drive... I try to avoid it though, due to it being an auto. It has good power (274hp and 270lbft) and full torque is available from about 1600rpm. Besides the auto transmission, the suspension annoys me. It's just waaaaay too soft for my liking. The wife always gets queasy when I drive because the car nose dives when braking even moderately, or has annoying body roll in the corners (without pushing it much). I'm sure it could easily be addressed with some coilovers and swaybar, but I have no desire dumping money into that car. However, it has been reliable as hell for us. In 80000 miles, it's been to the dealership for one actual issue. |
2014 Subaru Legacy 2.5. It doesn't compare, but it's roomy, and is a tank in the snow.
|
I've got an old 06 maxima, good car, good ride, good in the snow, dependable, but can't compare to the Z in anything except, that it's a Nissan!
|
2010 G37s sedan - sits higher, quieter, softer, red leather, same VQ grunt. Plenty sporty. Sometimes I feel I no longer need the Z. Stupid thought goes away when I get into the Z. The G simply does not react to braking and steering input with the same urgency and directness as my Z (275/285 RE71, coilovers, SPL arms).
2010 Jetta TDI wagon - love low end the torque, DSG, big trunk, great stereo, turbo diesel! Not comparable to Z. |
My DD is a '08 Power Wagon. :D
|
2006 Dodge Ram 2500.
Cummins, six speed. APPROX 400/800. |
the z has been my daily for yrs now and im slowly making it into a track car. Im lovin my sti so far, more room, back seats, awd, and boost! The only downside is ringland failure with these cars....

Mine is a 2004 Civic VP, 116k miles. Bought it brand new. It's a decent little car and I like the reliability and low cost of maintenance. It's only 115 hp so compared to my Z it's obviously very underwhelming but I'm still happy that I have it and it gets me from point a to b.
