A Nissan branded battery is no different than the batteries you can get at your local auto parts store - you just pay more to get the Nissan sticker. Unless you are wanting a lighter, "high-performance" battery (eg, the Optimas mentioned above), just get one of the mid-line batteries from a parts store and take care of it.

Most battery warranties I've seen are pro rated (the older the battery is, the less will be refunded) and not really worth much.

You might want to check for a parasitic load on the battery (stereo, radar detector, &c).

I learned a lot from the thread below. I ended up with an AGM type from Deka. NAPA now sells AGMs. Saw PEP Boys also carries AGMs. The only problem I have with On line battery sales is how carriers treat heavy loads during shipment/delivery. I always suspect these things are dropped accidentally during shipment. I'd rather pick them up from a gravity fed battery rack at a brick and mortar store.
