Default Tailgating a Z in a family sedan

This happens quite often to me. It's always the 4 door family sedan (Ford Fusion, Toyota Avalon, Honda Accord) drivers who do it. Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, etc. drive like normal folks and I never have issues with these cars. Since I got my exhaust installed a few weeks ago it seems like it is getting worse. Yesterday I had a fool in an Avalon riding inches from my rear bumper at high speed on the interstate. What's the deal with these grocery getters?

I had this happen to me a while ago. Some ******* in a Accord. Did a strong brake check that required him to swerve into the grass.

I don't get that problem too often. Usually they back off when they spot the USMC medallion or the NRA sticker....

When this happens to me, I play it cool and just slow down until the idiot passes me. There was one time the idiot behind me would not pass me even after I slowed down to 40 mph in a 70 zone. So I was nice and pulled over and stopped. needless to say, they finally passed me.

I get this a lot in my Z but more from suv's/ lifted trucks. I just slow down so they get the point. Another fun thing to do is slow down to match the cars speed on the side of you so they can't pass at all.

I get this a lot, but from Trucks! I don't know why but they are on my azz all the time. I drive speed limit on the right lane anyways so they can pass on the left lane. Drives me crazy.

the most fun thing to do is to do what you said here, wait for the radar detector go start going off, then switch lanes. They'll rocket past you and get pulled over.

The old slingshot technique.

Right? I have people doing that all the time too. I'm not trying to race so relax or get on the other lane...

Default Radar Detector!

Now, that's a good idea! Same old thing, lots of people never think about what they are doing, the danger. They just GO. And it ain't gonna change. So, do what some of the above posts say, be cool, don't let them rattle you. Those big trucks get off of intimidating others. Makes up for their little weeny.

Tempting to brake check these morons but you should be careful. A rear end collision is a whole lot of hassle to deal with. Tap your brakes enough to light up the lights should get the message across.
