Finally saw a fellow 370 and..
 

He looked like a total douchebag, then tried to get me to race him.. Sigh.

First one I have seen on the road, and ive been driving mine since the end of June..

I have noticed a bit of 370Z douchebaggery around here. But it's really to be expected because the 350 was very much a douchebag magnet. Maybe not as bad as the Evo/STi crowd but a lot of douchebags drive Zs.

I'm just glad we have a little MD/VA/DC "club" with an unspoken rule that, if you're a d-bag, you're out! :icon18:

I kinda take offense to this comment. Kinda unnecessary. When I had my STI I had Z's try to race me all the time.

Hehe, Pushing Tin quoted me a while back saying, "when I had a Mustang I used to think 350Z drivers were douchebags. Now that I have a Z, I think a lot of Mustang drivers are douchebags. So just keep in mind that someone out there thinks you're a douchebag." Or something like that. :icon18:

I didn't really mean to be offensive... I guess what I should have said is that inevitably there is going to be some douchebaggery among the owners of 370Zs, just like there is in any other perceived "hot" car... whether it be a Mustang, STi, Ferrari, etc.

So yeah, my first post was kinda out of line and didn't really get across what I was trying to say.

SOOO, a bit off topic but when I had my 05 touring 350Z, a black 370Z pulled up next to me with his gf in the car, at the redlight he revved hard and when the light turned he took off. So I don't know there are some douchbaggery drivers out there for sure.

I've seen one other black Z and a blue Z, but I've not seen the blue one since around July...lol

Last night I pulled one, I had a girl in my car, and next to me was a thug-mobile, playing music relating to the attitude that belongs with that kind of junk...

I shot out of that light like a cannon and enjoyed every second. I'm sure I was a d-bag to the thug-mobile, but, I didn't care. I have a fast car...they have a loud bass-heavy radio and listen to crap music.

I take off at every light like I drive a Z, whether a GT500 or Neon are sitting next to me. Do I redline it and test my 0-60 at every light? Not hardly, but I put my foot down, sure. I'm sure many people have thought to themselves "what an a-hole!".

The only time I've ever looked at another driver and thought "he's a douche!" is when I pulled up next at a light and there was a slicked-back, long-haired, middle-aged, Italian-looking guy with black driving gloves (in fall), and a pedo-stache that was trying to rev his bmw against my 88 Tracer.

The stroke with the gloves was probably revving cuz he couldn't find 1st gear:roflpuke2: He was nervous cuz he just got beat by a Tracer at the last light.:inoutroflpuke:

After 4 days owning this beast, I quickly realize that it's easier to pull away from a stoplight with some decent acceleration than it is to pull away slowly.

Damn thing just wants to rev. :happydance:

Now that I own a Z, I look at the other Z drivers I pass, praying they don't have spikey hair and look like d-bags. I suppose the only Z's that drive me nuts are the riced versions. IE tint so dark you can't see inside, lowered so the tops of the tires aren't visible, stickers of Japanese anime on the sides, and God forbid neon lighting under the car.

It's funny actually, owning a Z has made me want to add things, modify, etc. But every time I get one of those thoughts, I question what I would have thought about it if I saw the same thing a year ago when I still drove an Audi. There is a place for modifying and enjoying our cars, but like anything, it can be done with or without good taste.

The real thing that was funny, was that when he would pull up beside me
(we were on the interstate), he would kock his head to the left to look at me and it was really funny the way he did it, just like he had a chip on his shoulder.

Then as he took his exit he floored it. haha. Dude was goofy

That's why I'm all about keeping the stock appearance. :)

Blow people away with a good CAI and good exhaust, if you still need more, there are kits that will do what you want...and still keep the stock appearance :)

I think that stock or even the sport/pkg kit is fine for the Z, lower just makes it look even better :yum:

I don't see how people that don't have dark tint can do it. My wife and I went out in my father-in-laws Maxima and it isn't tinted at all. It really bugs me when people can see in the car I'm in.

I want to be able to pick my nose in the privacy of my own car. :icon17:

Ouch, this thread hurts. I'm middle age with spiked hair, tint and soon a ti-tip cbe. Haven't been inducted into the d-bag club yet. Drive like grandma (most of the time). It's funny how many drivers confuse speeding with fast. Sure, every now and then I blow 0-40 off a light b4 the guy in next lane finds the gas pedal - I mean why did we buy the car if not to hear the revs and exhaust sounds? And then there's the other thing - I can.

But when I pull up within a few miles of the speed limit, the real d-bags look very very sad.
