Moving on

After 2 years of owning my Z I'm jumping ship and moving on to bigger and better things. My cars been for sale for a couple months now. The new buyer is giving me $26,000 for my car, I paid $26,700. So I'm coming out of the deal felling pretty good.

I'm going to be replacing it with a 2011-2013 CTSV sedan, which needless to say I'm very excited about.

I do have a pile of parts that will be sold in the classifieds soon. Including a few CF exterior pieces that I had buried in 6 coats of PPG Deltron 3000. These turned out absolutely gorgeous. Each layer of clear magnifies the CF weave which after six additional coats makes them look like alive. Sorry to get off topic but I get excited about these parts because they look so fricking amazing, anyways....

I pumped to make the change. The idea of having something more practical, that I can fit my whole family in and that's faster than the Z is an equation that makes sense, not to mention a supercharged V8, a proper exhaust note and the ease of being able to reach 650-700hp, what's not to love.

I've enjoyed being a part of the Z community and have met a lot of really cool and helpful people here. Thanks to you all!

What's the price tag on those V's? I've been eyeing the new atsv but won't seriously consider it for a few years. Even then, will probably go with one that's 1-2 years old.

Stick around and show off some pics of your new ride :tiphat: :driving:

You will love the CTS-V. Like Jarblue said, post up some pictures once you get the new ride.

The CTS-V is a great car. Ownership and maintainance are pricey though.

Nice car. That color or silver is the best.

I have four friends with 2nd Gen CTS-Vs.

One has a sedan. The other three have Vagons. One of the three even has it with a 6MT.

They are expensive cars. Expect fuel economy to be in the range of 10-14MPG :rofl2: Expect to annihilate tires. Want to do Olympic Rings? Push the throttle and turn the wheel... Smiles for days. Expensive smiles, LOL!

Besides fuel and tires, simply getting into one is not cheap. A Vagon with 6MT generally goes for in the mid 40s... And that's on a car that is 4-5 years old now. The autos are cheaper, but who really wants an auto? :D

They are nice cars through and through though. Magneride suspension, big *** brakes, big *** engine with a big *** supercharger... These things were meant to be hooned!
