How will you keep your 370 clean in the Winter?

For everyone who uses their 370 as a daily driver how will you keep your car washed and waxed in the winter?

I have ONE word for you: A garage and ONR !

(well, more than one word but you get the idea...)

Except for people on the west coast, for everyone who uses their 370 as a daily driver how will you keep your car washed and waxed in the winter? :)

I'm going the other direction, and finding out exactly how dirty I can get it.

I plan on doing the same thing I do during Summer. Weekly washes, and daily wipe downs with a detailer spray.

So I was thinking more about how the cold weather will affect how you keep your car clean. Are you going to be out with buckets and a hose when it drops into the 50's, 40's, 30's ? Or will you go to a coin-op spray wash or maybe an automatic wash? What about going waterless and doing the whole whole thing in the garage including waxing?

I'll have a bucket of water in my driveway in the 40's if I have to, yep. I'll probably wait to wax again (just waxed 2 days ago) until March or so. Most of my cleaning will be in the garage with just a detailer spray though.

Mind you, I'm in Georgia. My winter days will still be sunny and in the 50's mid afternoon.

As I said... ONR !

For wax, I use Ultima. Paintguard Plus+. I can tell you (as the label does), put it on in October and the water beads up till March. It's a bit expensive, though. Something like $70-$80 a bottle (a bottle is rated for about 50 waxes, though).

In the winter (under 40) I wash my car in my closed garage with low water flow so not to splash all over the walls. I have plenty of florescent lighting to see and just squeegee the floor when done.

In the winter time I usually frequent the power spray DIY wash places, just to get road salt off of the car periodically.

Most people do two major details a year... one in the Spring and one in the Fall. I did my fall detail, so the car is sealed with a few coats of Poorboy's EX. It will not be waxed at all between now and my next detail. I'll just periodically wash it to get rid of the grime. :)

What about Arizona and most of Nevada? :p

The question should be: "For people in areas subject to inclement weather, ...?" :)
