POLL: Bang for your buck clutch/flywheel combo
I'm coming up on 70,000 miles and I'm looking for community help. If you own one give your positives and negatives. Thanks for your help!
ZSpeed, w/ 17 lb flywheel $699.00 Or Z1 Motorsports, w/ 14.2 lb flywheel, standard full face friction disk $744.00 |
I don't think there's many people who tried both.
On a more specific note about the ZSpeed flywheel, they keep dropping the weight on them. I bought (or thought I bought) the 18.5lb version start of August, but they switched to stocking the 17lb right after. Never weighed mine because I went to get it installed asap, but it looks identical. Was meaning to ask ZSpeed but it's a trivial thing (1.5 lbs) when they've got a business to run. So whichever unit I got, I'd say it's actually very drive-able. In fact my whole setup (insulated hose/SB Stage 2 clutch/HD CSC/Redline is miles better than stock A bit of noise, and more apparent engine braking, but much smoother engagement. |
I guess I should have made it "if you've tried either give your ups and down sides to it. I'll ed it the original post. Thanks for your input!
