When a boot like that tears, the grease inside gets slung above and below when the vehicle is in motion.

Could be kids messing with a slingshot as well , we used to use big BB as ammo and those things can go a long way

As others have said if you had a failing CV joint or bearing you'd be hearing grinding/rumbling/popping when you put load on the drive train. And there would likely be a greasy mess somewhere, but your car is bone dry. All the boots look intact as well. Keep calm and drive on.

This is not from your car as your pictures prove. A ball bearing of that size would cause serious damage to a person, pet property etc. If flung with a slingshot. Maybe hang on to it in case something comes up in your neighborhood.
