Hello, when I bought the car, I'm using Royal Purple 5w30 engine oil and K and N oil filter. I'm using Exxon Premium gasoline. The engine was smooth until today.

Engine ticking permanently after hard acceleration
Hello, when I bought the car, I'm using Royal Purple 5w30 engine oil and K and N oil filter. I'm using Exxon Premium gasoline.
The engine was smooth until today. I did a W.O.T hard acceleration when passing a semi-truck on a 2-lane highway. Now I can hear a small ping/knocking sound especially during idle and soft acceleration. Did I mess up the valve train or something? Oil is still full. Thanks. |
