Z-Hydro is an amazing new demo car for 2010, presented by Marangoni Car Tyres, which is the Marangoni Group’s Business unit that produces and sells new car tyres strictly “Made in Italy”.
Starting from a new Nissan 370Z, the Z-Hydro has been transformed by TRC Italia with creative developments to bodywork, engine, braking system, suspensions and interior.
The real news is the innovative Hydro kit which allows a saving in petrol consumption and emissions without any loss of power!
Marangoni decided to showcase their unique ultra high performance 20” concept tyre, “M Power - Blue” on this magnificent sporting interpretation.
As with all great concepts, the core DNA of this spectacular design will make it in to production in early 2010.

No man, that car moves with water
The engine has a system that produces hydrogen from water extracting

Besides this....

Remapped ECU
direct double carbon intake
complete exhaust system with 200 cells catalysts
Tarox calipers with 12 pistons
Tarox 400mm brake disks
Carbon rear diffuser
complete restyling of the interior with leather, alcantara and Carbon
etc..etc...

Hydro kits have a bad rep for doing nothing. A real hydro system would be cool where the car is running on 100% hydrogen for most times.

except that the cost and energy expended in extracting and processing hydrogen from water far exceeds the energy gain from re-oxidizing it in the engine, making hydrogen systems very inefficient and polluting. Not to mention you will have to convert almost all available cabin space into a hydrogen tank if you don't want to refuel every 10 km or so.

not to mention that hydrogen can make the car go hindenburg on you

From Tyrepress.com: Marangoni Floats the Z-HYDRO

Yet the Marangoni 2010 show car, adds the Italian manufacturer, is not however just about design, style and power – it is also a “demonstration of technological advancement and ecology”. Marangoni continues that the main technological advancement within the tyre and the inspiration for the Z-HYDRO name is the inclusion of a process that produces a gas called HHO or ‘oxyhydrogen’, and uses an “energy from water” supply kit. This technology works in symbiosis with the car’s original engine and, says Marangoni, minimises harmful emissions – specifically unburned hydrocarbons, which are practically eliminated. Yet that’s not all – oxyhydrogen, reports Marangoni, also significantly decreases the vehicle’s fuel consumption without compromising on engine power. Amazingly this system is said to rely upon one basic raw material…. Water.

Marangoni describes the Z-HYDRO as an “almost total reworking of the car”, and reports that TRC Italia has made “substantial changes” to the body, engine, interiors, braking system and trim. Of course, for the Italian tyre maker the big news is the Hydro supply kit that independently produces HHO and “works in perfect symbiosis” with the original engine. The HHO created is injected by the system into the engine’s intake and is said to bring about a drastic reduction in HC, unburned hydrocarbons and harmful emissions in general – all while delivering the said significant improvements in fuel consumption. In trials coordinated by TRC Italia, the vehicle’s original horsepower was reportedly maintained. System designed Lorenzo Errico believes that subsequent developments will lead to a considerable increase in horsepower.

Most of those oxyhydrogen claims turned out to be bogus scams and pseudoscience. There are cars that legitimately run on water, but the water is split into hydrogen and oxygen separately in a factory, and then hydrogen is loaded into a tank on the car. No one has yet to make a system that processes water on board the car. Besides, like i said, in the end it takes more energy to split the water than what is recovered during combustion, which means its cheaper and more environmentally friendly to just keep pumping old school dinosaur droppings into the engine, than this fancy water thing.

MARANGONI Z-HYDRO: technical notes

Starting from the base of a brand new Nissan 370Z R34, Z-HYDRO presents a total reinterpretation of the car with substantial actions at the level of body, engine, interior, braking system and chassis.

Hydro Kit

The real innovation is the revolutionary power supply kit that produces individually HHO Hydro (Oxyhydrogen) and works in perfect symbiosis with the original engine. The HHO is injected developed by the station inlet of the engine, which responds with a drastic reduction in HC, unburned hydrocarbons, (brought to almost zero) and emissions in general with attached considerable improvement on fuel consumption .

This trial, coordinated by TRC Italy, in collaboration with HydroMoving Mariani and Engineering, for the moment leaves unchanged the original power of the car and, as confirmed by the Ing. Lorenzo Errico, founder of the system will be able in a second step to increase considerably.

Bodywork and design

It will not be difficult to imagine the derivation of design donated HYDRO-Z because it is obvious similarity with her older sister Nissan Skyline GTR R35.

The front bumper Performance TRC has in fact the same central grille with attached two large air intakes with an outflow directed to the plant now much more powerful. As for the rear speaker was originally removed and replaced with a new component made of carbon by MB, which has showy facilitating better flow of air extractors. Carbon is also used to build the cups mirrors, wing on the trunk of the interior panels and logos. The aluminum doors have special hinges hours of LSD, which was further altered to make it possible to open the doors Gull-wing, as in the most prestigious supercars.

All components designed for the Z-HYDRO will be sold in 2010 by TRC Italy.

Other equipment

Z-HYDRO was lowered by about 4cm by adopting an attitude to KW threaded ring that allows precisely the adjustment but also the damping in compression and extension. The front suspension also feature the new system that enables HLS to raise up to 5 cm electronically at the touch of a button located on the center console of the car. The braking system already significant number has been replaced on both axes with the innovative Tarox B350 12-piston calipers and composite discs with diameter 400 for the brake surface to brake an absolute power and modulated at the same time. The leverage of the gearbox is now equipped with a special selector that allows the reduction of stroke resulting in faster inserts.

The release of the engine has been improved by adopting exhaust manifolds, rear and stainless metal catalysts 200celle. The aspiration of the two banks was amended by removing the original boxes and taking a cotton air filters to direct intake with new covers in like-carbon.

The front seats and door panels have been skillfully covered with leather and alcantara blue color strictly by the skilled hands of Luna supercar.

Tires concept "M Power - Blue", created for the occasion by Marangoni Oxigin wheels are paired with black full polish rock Vierzhen Ox 8.5 x20 front and 11x20 rear.

Pharma, do you have any links to support your statements? Now I'm not saying the TRC car performs as stated (I wouldn't know), but your vitriol leaves a bad taste without supporting links. Thanks in advance.
