Borrow a 2013 Nismo Tow Hook Plate Bracket

Hi all,

I just got a fix it ticket for no front license plate on my 2013 Nismo, does anybody have a tow hook plate bracket I could borrow to get the ticket signed off? Once signed off, I'll send it back.

I'll pay shipping to and from.

Thanks,

William

What happens if you get a ticket again? Why dont you just buy one?

Many cities in CA simply have this fixed by way of a fine paid on line. Check and see.

If you really need it. I have one for a 60 deposit plus shipping.

Yeah its kinda ridiculous....illinois is a front plate state and ive had a front plate on all my cars. I envy you guys that dont have to have them. Just wish dealers would install front plates without drilling holes in front bumpers but i guess its a deterent from having people just take them off. I know there have been plenty of times here where they have pushed to have that law removed but with no luck. Im gonna try and either buy my next z out of state or get one fresh off the truck and insruct dealer to not put one on. Ill go as long as i can without one but if it becomes a problem with getting pulled over ill install one with a stillen bracket or one of those hideaway ones.

I specifically told the dealer I wouldn't take the car if they drilled holes in the bumper

I never have a front plate on my car and I've lived in Chicago area for over 20 years. Not a single ticket for it. Also, when i bought my 370z a few months ago, I made sure to tell the dealer not to put a front plate on and he listened. :)

When I first received my Z, it wasn't provided with a front plate holder from the previous owner, and the bumper wasn't drilled either. Ordered asap from rho-plate...came right after I got a ticket. Tried explaining my case to the ticketing agency, but they wouldn't bite and I guess they really wanted my $35 or so.

Nice that it's drilled to stay light, and the amount of adjustment is pretty nice. Only downside imo is that the threaded areas should've had more depth. One hole at the pivot gave out and I just added nuts. I guess Loctite or something would be ideal, but it has stayed put on regular highway trips.

*also going to add: It seems that cops in my area won't bother with lack of front plates unless they really feel like it. On that first week I drove by many. Oncoming, slow, it's not like they could miss that absence. Instead I was literally ticketed by some meter maid apparently trying really hard on a Sunday morning.
