Usually I take things off the internet with a grain of salt, but I bite the bullet after so many positive reviews, and seriously this assembly is what everyone claims it to be!

I initially had the helper spring removed, but rjm changes everything!
Heed what this man says. Changed how i feel about my beloved Z

Now that I got the pedal installed, I answered my own question and this is definitely the case. On downshifts with SRM, the pedal does help to produce a fully dampened downshift, which is amazing. It could almost be done with the stock pedal, but I found that you really really had to be light and easy on the clutch letting it out.

**SRM off: I found it pretty hard to downshift with the RJM pedal without feeling like you're slipping the clutch and without being at a higher than normal rpm when beginning the downshift. I drive with SRM on all of the time anyways.

really? I tried some non-SRM mode downshifting and found it easier to downshift rev match with the pedal than without. well by that I mean a lot smoother.

remember you are drawing out that window so technically even on a regular SRM shift you are still slipping the clutch. instead of a 0.1 second engage/disengage its now 0.15s for example.

I should have clarified that I meant w/o manually "blipping" the throttle. In your case, you were still rev-matching, whereas I was not. I have not tried your case though..will have to.
