I've had the version 2 on my 13Z since about 3 months after picking up my Z in Aug of 2012. It's still working great and I'll give it a ! Also Ryan is very responsive at RJM.

Appreciate that, and it is a good price, but I like the term complete assembly ready to install :)

Ryan hooked me up with a v3.1 should be here next week.

I have mine sitting at my shop for install after I get the Z back from getting the body kit and paint! Can't wait for my install either!

Let us know what you think after you get it in and tweaked.

I installed mine last night. so far so good. need to adjust the pedal's height but other than that it's sweet.

I'm running 50% afp. (0% is stock for reference, 75% recommended /preset for stock parts). I like the shorter throw but wanted a wee bit more play. I got my wee bit at 50% perfectly.
vibrations carry well and you can feel the clutch now.

oh I did meet Ryan yesterday too! Very nice fellow he is!

wow 50 i like 90 but thats the beauty of the part is adjustable.

mishuko 07-04-2016 02:28 PM

75 is recommended max for oem. To be honest I liked the short play so just a tad more. Was even considering 25 lol race car!!!

But as you say... adjusted to how the individual likes it is the selling factor

night blade 07-04-2016 02:57 PM

Just contacted Ryan and thinking of getting this done this weekend on my 2016 Base, right now the clutch engages at around the 3/4 way point, how much of a difference would you guys recommend? higher? lower no, so would 75% be a 1/4 in engage? thinking half way or 50% would be best.

mishuko 07-04-2016 03:14 PM

the way he explains it is the engagement of clutch will still be high but it draws out the engagement window

so lets say OEM is like

top(x|ooo|xxxxxxx)bottom

with the starting75% AFP you will get a window something like this

top(x|ooooo|xxxxx)bottom

or about 75% more play... I think. I could be wrong though.

sorry for cruddy drawing... :(

Magic Bus 07-04-2016 03:32 PM

I totally understand your cruddy drawing mishuko and it looks correct :icon17:

And night blade, if you can understand his drawing, the RJM stock setting will have your clutch grab a little lower and then have a wider engagement window.

I've adjusted my engagement point lower but I found that I prefer it right at the stock setting from RJM.

fantaZ 07-04-2016 06:56 PM

rjm said i could go to 90 tops with a stock clutch. i liked 75 but 90 is the sweet spot for me.

night blade 07-05-2016 08:13 AM

Thanks Mishuko and Magic Bus, drawing explains it perfectly.

Going to try stock setting and go from there.

dvboy 07-05-2016 03:54 PM

Mishuko your illustration perfectly matches my thoughts on this pedal.Got mine this morning, took me 2 hours with the installation taking my time.I left it at the recommended 70%,feels much better, why Nissan couldn't do this from the start is beyond stupid. My car is a 2016,and another motivation for me to get this pedal is Ryan claims it will help(solve) the csc issues, that certainly is a nice side effect.:driving:
