Need some help - Calling the forum Wisdom Gods...
So here's the deal. I haven't posted anything for awhile since I got my Z the way I wanted too. But alas, I'm thinking of selling her. The question that I pose to the masses is this: Should I just sell her to a dealership, if so how much do you think I would get, OR sell her on ebay, and what price do I ask? Please continue reading before answering.
Here's the rub. 2010 370Z Base model. EXCEPT - it has the same leather interior as the touring (part of the stipulation for me buying it), the same spoiler, the same rays 19" wheels... you get the point. The only thing it doesn't have are the better brakes and the LSD. (I have a quaife brand new in the box that I never got around to installing along with the whiteline bushings) and the finned nismo diff cover. I am the only owner. It has 34500 on the odometer with a clear title in hand. It was involved in 1 accident, which will show up on a carfax. (I'm in the military and a guy rear ended me coming in the gate at O dark 30 doing 5 mph. nothing major, but he scratched my bumper, so I made him pay for it.) I also had the windshield replaced cause I had like 6 rock chips in it. Now here's the real rub. It has a stage 1.5 GTM supercharger installed (was installed when the car hit 30,000 miles) 430HP and 335ft/lbs on the dyno... along with a ton of other stuff: 34 Row Oil Cooler Infinity Basslink Sub SPL adjustable titanium rear camber arms SPC Toe Bolts Hotchkis front and rear sway bars Swift Spec R Springs Invidia Gemini Exhaust Fog light with brake light Nissan Black Pearl Emblems Front and Rear Nismo Aluminum Shifter Kenwood DVD/GPS/Bluetooth Infinity Component Speakers Red top battery RedLine Oil + Fluids 3 - VEI Dual Gauges (for supercharger) 19" rays wheels Powder coated gloss black Ceramic brake pads / cross drilled rotors Lumar CTX window tint UpRev Tuned by Vortex motorsports in Tampa Satin Covercraft? or Coverking? indoor car cover Wheel spacers And probably more stuff that I am forgetting I have must if not all the receipts of the stuff that I have bought as well. I have the Stock exhaust and 90 Percent of parts taken off from supercharger install (Missing power steering lines), I also have the stock radio. I got rid of the springs and other random stuff. What should I do and how much should I ask for? As always, thanks for your help. Pics are just to kind of show what she looks like- and yes, the front bumper is on the car, was doing maintenance when that pic was taken. |

There's no way you would get anything over book value on a supercharged car by trading it in, I would highly suggest you sell it on here/Craigslist/ or eBay.
I'm thinking around 25k? Depends what you're looking for |

I am here...I say you part it out and list the car for 20k. Offer a sacrificial virgin and you may get close to the asking price. You're likely going get 4-6k separately for the gtm kit plus some extra for rest of the aftermarket stuff and that's a pretty good deal.

A dealer isn't going to give you as much as an individual for it - they want to make a profit when they sell it. A dealer may not even want the car with an SC on it (a modded car is likely to sit on the lot for a while). But it never hurts to ask. To get the most money out of the car, Zbrah has the right idea - return the car to more-or-less stock and part-out the mods. But that's a lot of work and time (and assumes you still have the original parts). Personally, I'd leave it as-is and take the hit ... but I'm pretty lazy.

i suggest trying to sell locally first at the price you want -35%.
one thing about car modding, unless u can find a private party dat wants ur car as-is, noone will give you much for the aftermarket bits. used car buyers are mostly cheap. they dont want to deal with or have the money to deal with problems down the road. |

As mentioned, put it back to more or less stock, then sell those parts separately.
Selling or trading a car to the dealer will never get you the best results. Selling privately is your best bet pretty much always. And I wouldn't sell a pack of gum on eBay. |

Thanks for the input. I'm going to list her for sale on ebay in a few weeks the way she is and see if there is any interest. If not, I might part out some of the things such as wheel spacers and what not. I think it will be too much of a PITA to take the supercharger off.
