VDC stands for Vehicle Dynamic Control, and it is kind of an automatic stability control system.

If turned off, you can be more free from that stability restraint. It might work for you to make better drifts.

Except for if you have a base model, the open differential will make drifting pretty challenging. My idea is this is why we have had "VDC off I crashed threads" in the past. People don't consider what the diff does until its too late or just don't learn. My base has an open differential and until I trade for a Nismo or upgrade the diff, my VDC stays ON. Its saved my butt a few times already.

Thanks. I did not know about that danger owning a Sport trim.

he was saying the base model is more dangers with the open diff. if using VDC off.

IMO the sport and Nismo will be much better with the LSD diff although it is also "upgradeable" to something better even......

There is a description of how it's supposed to work in the FSM.

Default Good info!

Meaning the U Tube above.
So the base Sport model, with AT, has the LSD? Correct?
What is the axel ratio for the Automatic Trans?

If I remember the AT is 3.73 and the MT is 3.91 on the nismo.

There is a Base, a Sport, and a Nismo model. Not a Base Sport. Although I believe they have renamed the Base model the "Enthusiasts" model.

I knew the difference between those base and sport trims that a sport one is equipped with VLSD which is not included in a base by default.

I just didn't know that turning off the VDC on base trim would be liable to occur that possible danger while making drifts.

"drifting" hence a controlled slide would probably work best when both wheels spin. An "open" diff is basically a "one tire fire". I would assume a drift with one tire spinning a lot faster than the other would be difficult.
