So yesterday I installed an aftermarket y-pipe I believe it's a 2.5 to a 3 inch , to my stock exhaust . The only other thing I have on the exhaust are berk resonated test pipes . Has anyone ran this set up? Tried doing a lot of searching and couldn't find much. Now my car s test pipe hissing is 10x louder lol and I do feel a little lag. And on accelerating I get test pipe hiss also. I'll try to get a clip later today . Just wondering if it should sound like this from people that have ran aftermarket y-pipe and test pipes on stock cbe

I still have my resonators on! Also the hiss was only on deceleration before the new y-pipe now the hiss is way louder and hisses as soon as I let off the gas. The most noticeable difference is the cabin noise is very loud before it wasn't that loud until after 3.5k rpm. Exhaust leak maybe ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You say the Y-pipe is 2.5" to 3"??
![]() Stock exhaust is not a 3"

I have an aftermarket y-pipe (2.5 to 3") with Nismo exhaust and I don't have the crazy hiss sound op is getting. Should try checking for leaks at the connections and retighten everything again.

No ill effects I could tell. The car actually pulls much stronger in the mid range so the increase in power is apparent going from stock y-pipe to a larger diameter Y-pipe. I should mention that I started with Art pipe and Nismo exhaust (Nismo S-tune mid pipe) before swapping out the stock nismo Y to the XYZ y-pipe.

I've got an extra aam y pipe that bought off another member here that's sitting around. It's up for sale. You can do a quick search for aam y-pipe to learn more about it.
