Just an observation

Before when I didn't have the Z I would look at every new model that came up every year and would wonder how it would be like to own it, after the Z entered my life I still get the same feeling and all I need to do is look at my car and the feeling goes away....funny how after almost 3 years I still like to drive it and more so look at it..:driving:

I must be more sick in the head than you cause I cant help it and still drool over and dream about getting a new car.

I guess a committed relationship is out of the question for you. :icon17:

I still enjoy reading and daydreaming about other cars. Sometimes I even go test drive them. Then I go for a drive in the Z and forget all about them! I think this feeling will be enhanced when I install my FI exhaust this weekend!!

There isn't anything I can actually afford that I'd rather own, so I'm good for now.;)

I daydream about owning and driving a faster, more expensive car, but as soon as I drive the Z, everything in the world seems right. Don't get me wrong, given the opportunity, I'd trade in the Z for a 991 or even a 997 Carrera S, but the Z is plenty of car for the enthusiast in me.

None of my dream cars will be affordable to me in this lifetime. But pulling up to a dealership in the Z gets some interesting reactions sometimes.

The VW sales guy was like you should go somewhere else :icon17:
The Honda sales guy didn't want me driving his test cars like a Z - I just  as my wife got in the driver seat.
The BMW sales guy asked to drive it :gtfo2:
The Subaru sales guy asked for a ride in it - I obliged :driving: and he gave up trying to sell me on an STI :)

I sold/traded my 997 for 16Z sport,,Z pushes all my buttons and 3 year warranty... atrip to the P dealer not under warranty changed my thinking on P cars.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has these thoughts...thanks for your replies :driving:

I should have waited until I got home from work as today as I came to a stop light and a CRV driven by a middle aged man and a female passenger pull next to me and he rolled the window down to tell me that my car was "handsome" and the woman game me a thumbs up...If he was alone I would have thought something else but I'm glad she was in the car...my response to them was...it's my mistress ..as my wifey calls her since I spend more time with her than with my wife...just kidding the garage tends to keep me from doing the honey do list that's why, ok 'nough :driving:

There's always going to be newer and faster stuff out there but when you find the one that does it for you none of that matters. After over 2 years of ownership I can still go out to the garage and stare at my Nismo the same way I can go out to the garage and stare at my Ducati (6 years and counting). And when I'm driving/riding it's like nothing else on Earth matters. I still find it ironic that a Japanese car would have that intangible "it" factor that's lacking on virtually all of their motorcycles. Usually it's Euro cars/bikes or American stuff from the 60's that does it for me.

I used to ogle everything new on the road, and I still appreciate seeing other sweet rides that are coming down the pike. But, NOTHING stirs my soul like my pw 370z! I can't park it, and walk away with my back to it. It beckons me back! So gorgeous to look at, so fun to drive.
Almost every time I take her out, someone will either shout out at a stoplight, or comment in a parking lot. My wife laughs because she knows I'm eating that up with a spoon!

This.

I feel the same... Just the other night I found myself just staring at my Z, drooling over every angle/detail for almost 45 minutes! Driving it is my favorite thing to do... I can't get enough. And, for me, I absolutely love the rarity of the car... You just don't see that many, which just adds to the appeal.
