THIS is your worst nightmare? Seriously? It sucks, but it's going to be 100% covered and nobody got hurt.

I ride a motorcycle and work in a BSL-4 lab... I'll trade you worst nightmares.;)

Really sucks. Glad you're ok though. Your Z will heal more quickly and completely than you would.

jaedub 05-05-2016 09:10 PM

Sorry to hear about your misfortune but at least you're okay! And your Z doesn't look too bad. Mostly body panel damage from what I can see. My guess is little over 10K in repair. Good luck getting everything sorted out.

BboyZ 05-06-2016 01:49 AM

OUCH!!!!.. good thing you are OK..

ZeeingAround 05-08-2016 08:49 PM

Besides the car damage making you feel bad, are you sore or have any neck pain? Just get checked out. Damn shame on that new car.

KrnAndy 05-08-2016 11:10 PM

70? tf.. they need to add a law to renew a driving test at 65 or something.. some of the older people in my area who drive slow, causes road hazards..

Glad you're ok. I had a little old blue hair run a stop sign on me in her mid-90s Lincoln tank. Stopped literally a foot from her driver door. I followed her into the lot and spoke to her about it. She was totally oblivious that there was a stop sign and didn't even know I almost T--boned her.

Get your appraisals from Nissan then go to Lexus. Make sure you demand New metal oem parts no dent pulling and bondo. Try to take off the nissan oem black small sticker that matches each part and try to carefully remove it from the old part and say you want the repair shop to stick it on the new part. Lexus does certified work that means it has to meet certain standards. like proper oem gaps and millimeters in paint thickness and clearcoat thickness. I would not bring it to a mom and pop bodyshop.

Good lord that's scary.

oh goodness, so sorry to hear. Cringed to see a Nismo that way.

At least it sounds like the Lady took responsibility. It could've been a lot worst if she tried to deny it. You probably have enough witnesses and other conditions to back you up, but it would've been a headache and lot more time to sort out.

I personally would suggest people to get dash cams. I have two in mine. A high quality one in the front, and a medium quality one in the back, with much lower profile. The front one is held by a rear-view mirror adapter as I hate the look of suction cups. The rear is tinted so that hides the suction cup pretty well.

It's one of those cases where it's better to "have and not need", than to "need and not have". This way, if it's the other party's fault, it'll be easily supported by your footage to show police and send to insurance. It'll also help others if you happen to catch an accident too. The $160 spent on this setup is well worth the ease of mind, imo. Especially for such nice cars.

Best wishes on the repairs. You should post pics on the results.

Talked to a cop friend of mine here in south fla. He says theres 1.2 million uninsured motorist in the tri-county area. Thats Ft laud, Palm beach, and Miami. I drive in all three counties on a regular basis. Plus 2-3 million retired canadians 6mons a yr. and yr around road construction every yr for 20yrs. Its like the old west down here driving everyday lol.

Bah, my initial post with pics are under mod review, and if my first post with pics was any indication, it could be under review for weeks, but I wanted to post this message, so I apologize if my other post becomes a double post in the near future.

So sorry to hear. Cringed to see a Nismo that way.

If anyone is curious about my dash set up, please feel free to PM me. Hopefully I can show you pics through there without mod reviewing.

That's why I moved out of that area back in 2002. Just too crazy down there. Lived in Palm Beach Gardens.
