+1 find the next Nissan dealer on the block. Here's what should happen: 1. You hang around a z 2. Greeter asks you if u want to talk to someone 3. u say u want base, they have u test drive an upgrade - u feel cool, they hope to upsell 4. U say thx, be back in Jan, I like [insert color here] 5. They have a loyal customer and sell u the gt-r when the day comes to cash out your 401k (you're young, the market will cycle by then) ![]() |

Walk away from them. A couple of tips. Walk in with confidence. Be polite but be upfront. As soon as there is a wait more than 2 min. Start to walk out. Trust me, they won't let u go. And wen they run the story bout they need ya paperwork. U tell em " I'm not runnin u info till I know this is the vehicle I want for sure, and to know that. I need a test drive" one of 2 things will happen. They will stick by there guns or suddenly have a change in policy. If they stick. U walk. If not? U drive. The more confident u r the more they cooperate. Volume dealers are the worse. Its always politics and long waits. And since salesguys make a short commission. They have to run interest rate schemes, short bidding your trades and making u buy @ or above msrp. They mainly only cut u deals on demo's and cars sittin there 45 days or more. They r also known for not making u aware of rebates. And there's no advertised rebates on Z's so u might want to check the internet and check to see if there's any dealerships offering rebates on Z? If there are. Call them n find out if there rebate is in house or corporate. That way when u walk into a dealership. U can put it on blast that u kno bout the rebate after u make ur deal. That way, they gotta cut off from up top on the negotiated price n not on the price they want. That's my advice. ![]() Hope if its of some use. |
