Default cold climate Zs

Heads up for those owners who live in cold climates. Be sure to scrape away ice build-up from the bottom of your side glass before opening your door. The window automatically drops a little upon opening, and if it's stuck, you may cause a problem with the motor. That happened to my VW except the cable broke.

Couldn't one put some car wax on the lower 1-2" of glass, and prevent the ice from sticking (hard) to the window?

Here in Oklahoma, we'll wake up with up to an inch of ice covering the car...if not more. LOTS of Freezing Rain > snow in the PITA Scale.

For sure - and when I see that, I usually pour another cup of joe and work from home. If I get caught at the office - nasty. You need dynamite to get that stuff off.

Living in an apartment building sucked in the winter here in MA, I don't miss that. Sometimes I think I bought a house just so I would have a warm garage to park the car in.

TAMPA FLA.!!! I was raised there! Up until I turned 18, military. Went to Chamberlain H.S.. Lived off Dale Mabry not too far from the Bush Gardens Brewery. OF course that was back in the 60's. Probably wouldn't recognize anything now, x'cept the school. I like the cold weather, could do without the snow when it gets crappy and slushy. If only it would snow everywhere x'cept the streets! Yeah, dreamer.
