More like 5000 miles. I could increase it to 7500 miles or so because I do so much highway driving, but I drive the car pretty hard and prefer to err on the side of caution. Regardless of mileage, I would never go more than 6 months without an oil change.

Again, I'm not trying to extend the life of the oil I buy. I only want to fully utilize the oil that I do buy, rather than pour unused oil into the eco-station's waste-oil tank.

Just consider the oil fully used once it's 6 months old regardless of mileage :twocents:

You are referring to a Nissan dealer service manager? What makes you think he's going to say anything different than what Nissan recommends? Not to mention most dealer employees are idiots. If he says anything other than 6 month oil change intervals for summer only driving, then he's probably just another dealer idiot.
