2016 nismo

I was at a dealer, and I wanted to buy a 2016 370z NISMO cash money he offered me 38grand out the door, can I find a better price then that?

have you ever bargained / negotiated before?

a number is just a number. what you get it for... that's dependent on how good you are

omgwtfreally 04-21-2016 07:35 AM

Well when I walked in the door he was throw 40 grand at me I told him I won't accept anything near the sticker price, and I told him I'm buying this car weather it's from you or someone else I'm buying it cash money, so I went to a few other dealerships said the same thing so far 38k is the lowest out the door price, idk how low I can realistically get it though, I know the dealer has to make money.

So it sounds like you have your answer

whats the config of the car you're looking at? does it have tech? auto? manual?

you decide if it's worth it or not at the end of the day

axmea? 04-21-2016 08:57 AM

If that's your lowest, see if anyone else can beat that. There are so many Nissan dealerships in NorCal. Just for fun, contact Fontana Nissan and Universal City and see what they'd do for you. If they can't beat 38 cash out the door, you have a winner on your hands. Make sure that you are pricing apples to apples and the dealer is quoting you the same Nismo you want. They might be confusing their inventory.

dealers make money from service. they only make about a grand at best on these cars, i think. its not like nismo's are selling like hot cakes

Meulen 04-21-2016 09:55 AM

Times have changed, they would rather you not buy it "cash money". In fact, it's worth asking if you can get for less if you take the financing. You can pay it off when you get home if you want, but they still get a kickback for financing you.

exactly... do a small downpayment (usually gets some incentive) with an open loan.

pay it off right away and save the interest and tada.

barncobob 04-21-2016 10:43 AM

dealers don't like cash deals, they want to flamboozle U with interest rates, how much a month, etc.
im a ca$h guy, if I don't have the cash I don't buy it.

solidus 04-21-2016 10:48 AM

I paid 36,600 OTD for a 15' Nismo Tech. These guys are right , they put carrots out for me to finance through them and I think I could've saved a few dollars but I did'nt want to wrestle around on price. I did my deal over the phone a week before I bought it and just gave a deposit over the phone. I'd have paid the extra 1400 for a 16' all day.

omgwtfreally 04-21-2016 01:44 PM

Thanks for all the feed back guys, I was looking for a 2016 NISMO no tech pack, yeah basliaclly brand new, and 38 thousand out the door, I was actually headed down to Fontana soon. Yeah I guess I'll look around but if I finance it and pay it off right then and their isn't their major penalty's? I just do know dealer do have a point where they won't make money of the ael and I mean the dealer ship not the car sales man. I guess I'll look for awhile and see who can get me the lowest price out the door....i just I want to get the best possible le price I can and if I do finance it....to get the best deal I guess that's what I'll do.

barncobob 04-21-2016 01:50 PM

I remember someone sometime ago saying that the auto loans are written so that if u pay off early u are dinged $$ for said option

Some contracts are written that way. If you intend to finance and then pay it off all at once, then you need to make sure your contract does not penalize you. It's just a clause in the contract; make them remove it if you have to.

omgwtfreally 04-21-2016 01:53 PM

So, say I get a dealer says 35kOTD if I finance it...and then make sure there is no payoff penalty's and if there is have it removed from the contract and its win win? Do you still get bumper to bumper warranty?

JARblue 04-21-2016 01:54 PM

For 3 years or 36K miles, yes. Anything beyond that you'll be paying for.

Magic Bus 04-21-2016 02:14 PM

Let's put it this way, at $38k out the door, are you getting ripped off? Nope.

Can you get it for a little less? Maybe.

Is it possible to lose this $38k offer? Yes.

MSRP on a 16 Nismo w/6mt starts at $42k.

I'd take the deal. Figuring sales tax, license/reg all thrown in for $38K, this dealer is selling it to you for at least $7k below msrp. If it's the color, options you want. Why wait and lose time looking for a slightly better deal when you could be enjoying that beautiful Nismo today. :driving:

BboyZ 04-21-2016 02:16 PM

I would assume this brand new Nismo correct?

BboyZ 04-21-2016 02:21 PM

I paid mine, 42K out the door. 6MT TECH PACK

Nixin 04-21-2016 02:29 PM

I think that you can finance the purchase as interest rates are quite reasonable. Just make certain to check rates with your financial institution first before you use their suggested lender. Good luck.

my dealers dont care if u bought it cash, lease, or loan. less paperwork if cash = less cost.

i know cause i buy my cars cash and always ask if there are any incentives for financing it. they say no.

maybe your dealer is lazy. :driving:

Zerafian 04-21-2016 04:20 PM

yikes dude...you can get a 2014-2015 touring package for like $24-25k with 5-10k miles. Used nismo only $4-5k more. Save yourself close to $10k dude, buy used

CharmCityZ 04-21-2016 06:36 PM

Not gonna find too many used 15/16 nismos yet, i know within 150 miles of where im at there is exactly 0..New 16's are collecting dust on dealer lots. Couple dealers around here have quite a few with high 40's stickers going for 36-38.

joseZhartford 04-21-2016 07:32 PM

it has to be the worst time to buy a z at this time because the new 300z tt will be here on 2017

Are you a rep for Nissan bruh? Fill us in?

Joker_J 04-22-2016 12:58 AM

If your buying it with all cash, they can lower the price and still make money.
What I would do is come up with a price or research online how much they sell for around your area. Then from there knock it down about a G or 2G and if they still say no, just leave your number and the price. They'll call you back lol That's what I did when I bought mine. The dealer wanted 43K, knocked it down to 31K

Ask him what the dealership owns the car for ie:there purchase price. tell him to go get the book and show what they own it for. BY LAW HE HAS TO SHOW YOU. If he doesn't tell him to pound salt up his A@#. My family has been the dealership business for decades. Everytime i buy a car i demand for them to show me there purchase price. After i see the cost I tell the guy Listen everybody has to eat so how about you make a grand off of me on the car.

Remeber theres atleast $600-$800 dealers cost ontop of that.

LAVA 04-22-2016 12:51 PM

Cash isn't getting you a deal, they'll make more money if they finance the car.

carefull the snake in the grass is not the salesperson. Its the finance guy Don't buy any of the add on packages he offers just the loan. And you can bargain on the loan %. 2.0% or 2.1% is a good deal if you have great credit.

Ghostvette 04-22-2016 03:36 PM

Google is your friend.... try truecar.com to get a range of prices in your area for the car you want....:ugh2:

https://www.truecar.com/prices-new/n...&zipcode=92055

Change the zip to get a better idea. For the Oceanside area of California, MSRP is around $40k.

At the end of the day, it's all on you to make a decision after you do your due diligence. :twocents:

EzDz 04-22-2016 05:03 PM

is it 38k after taxes and fees??? Im assuming this because you said out the door. I would of left with it that second

Spstone 04-22-2016 05:07 PM

How long has the car been on the lot goes a long way into negotiating price some times. If it just popped up and your in an area where Z's sell easily they may not wiggle much because they know they don't have to sell. But if you watch it for a month or two then hit them at the end of the month you have a much stronger negotiation point.

layhum 04-22-2016 06:30 PM

Usually if you walk out the door at msrp sticker price and without any other incentives. The dealer is not making a dime. This usually applies to Japanese cars and imports generally in California. I was an internet manager for a few years. Got mine 16 nismo tech for 46500 otd back in nov 2015. No incentives and cash deal.
