Now, OP is saying that he did not apply for a charge back which Fly1 was not aware of at the time the thread started. So hopefully they are aware of that now and things will get resolved.

Lack of communication is always the main cause of most disputes.

I agree wholeheartedly. But from my reading of the thread, it seems like Fly1 agreed to refund 50% before this thread even started. So I figured Fly1 got the idea that OP was going to do a chargeback because of this thread. Since the OP started the thread because he had not received his 50% refund despite an agreement with Fly1, I still have to question why the OP did not get his refund before starting this thread.

That's probably still not all of the information. Hope everyone gets what they want in the end :tiphat:

it's up to the vendor to say how long something will take. if i'm told 4 weeks, then i expect that in 4 weeks. it's not up to me to think and have to add time for the vendor who i'm giving my money to.

i work in the workmens comp field and we have vendors that supply durable medical equipment to claimants. if our vendor says that the claimant will have the supplies in 1 week, guess what the claimant better have it in 1 week. otherwise we will not be paying a dime for the supplies.

the vendor has been long enough in business to know how long something will take for them to receive and ship out the buyer(s) by now. to say you'll get something in 4 weeks and then wait 4 months for it, that is just absurd.

No argument there.

You catch the problem. They didnt reply me or refund me before I opened this thread. He agreed to refund more than one month earlier than I opened this thread, but I didnt get anything until now. And this is the real problem I am talking about.

let's keep it real. if they gave a #@$% they would respond to this thread or to the OP. sounds like another vendor to scratch off the list, unfortunately.

One of my pet peeves....

A vendor that cant tell you the damn truth about wait time for parts. I mean fuk, just tell me its going to be 12 weeks and thats cool. Send updates every two weeks.

"Havent forgotten about you, parts are still in fabrication stage, Ill be in touch next week"...thats rough eh?

They are SOOOO eager to take your money but many of them dont give a sh*t about customer loyalty. Like spending 1 hour, once a week or 1 hour every two weeks to tell people whats going on will kill them.

In 10 years Iv only had one issue but it wasnt even this bad.

Restocking fee for parts that dont even exist yet is a complete b*tch move. If a vendor says 4 weeks and NEVER updates you on the status you deserve a 100% refund if you ask for it.

As far as Im concerned Iv had to many good experiences with Vividracing, b2auto, z1motorsports and outcast garage...I would never ever consider buying from this company because this is the only feedback Iv ever seen about them and its negative.

This isn't the point of the thread, but I completely agree. It is a telling sign of the type of vendor you're dealing with. Not to mention I bet they couldn't keep stock on the shelves if they even tried. A restocking fee for a part that doesn't exist but if it did would be sold to the next customer in no time at all?

Thanks a lot for everyone in this forum.

**I have got the refund from Fly1 Motorsports**

I never complain about the long lead time or high restocking fee.
The problem is that after Lohit agreed with my refund but he didnt give me my refund until now.

I ordered RS1 fenders from fly1 motorsports (order #00244) through their website on 12/28/2015, about 4 month ago. Before ordering, I asked about the wait time. Lohit told me that the maximum is 4 weeks for those fenders.

About 2 months ago,on 2/19/16, I send an email asking about how is my fenders. Lohit told me 2 weeks to go. However, I could not receive them anymore because I was leaving US at that time. So I asked him about canceling the order for me.

He agreed to refund but -50% from my initial payment as the restock fee and I agreed with him as well.

He asked my paypal and told me he will send my 50% initial payment with shipping fee, a total of $440 through paypal within a week. The last email Lohit sent me is on 3/2/15, and he never replied back my email, never.

Attachment 113641

I sent many emails through their website but no one reply me anymore.
Several days ago, I replied those under fly1 motorsports' RS1 fender posts, but they just deleted them.

I will update after they give me a response.

Good to hear it's been resolved now everyone can move on. :tiphat:

Valuable lessons here on all sides to learn from. :ugh2:
