I haul 8800 gallons of gas and people pull all kinds of stunts, very well knowing what I carry with all the class3 placards displayed all around my trailer! Thanks for being safe ;)

I see it all the time, the old days of people talking on the phone aren't as bad as people texting and playing around on Facebook ,social media, playing games not looking at the road. It is hard to tell drunk from a distracted driver, but a distracted driver is more dangerous.

i witnessed a guy in some small nissan get clipped by a truck yesterday while he was waiting for the light in the right turn lane. it was a decent crash. i couldnt see how the truck driver didn't see him though.. sunny and all.

As for driving around trucks, just like everyone else said; give them a wide berth, and pass them when it's safe to do so. Most truck drivers with any real experience realize and appreciate that they make other drivers nervous, so they tend to give additional warning time and make every attempt to ensure that they are clear before making lane changes. However, there is only so much they can do if you are not paying attention, or choose to ignore the warnings they give you. And if you don't know enough about driving by now to know that you never pass a truck on the right side anywhere near an intersection or turn off, then there may not be much help for you.

However, there are always those drivers who either don't care, or who are not paying attention, who will do lane changes with no warning (considering the number of regular people who do this on a regular basis, i.e. lazy pricks, this shouldn't be that much of a surprise), or making even bigger sweeping turns then that necessarily need to, you always need to keep an eye out and be ready to react. A good mentality to have with every other fool you meet on the roads, regardless of what they drive.

i never change lanes in front of a tractor trailer while approaching a red light. im thinking u guys are calculating the amount of distance left to stop and a car changing lanes in front of u can mess dat up.

like how following shitty AT drivers sometimes pisses me off cause im looking at the space in front of the pos AT car and calculating the amount of engine braking and braking i apply coming to a stop. some fakers stop leaving like 3-4 car lengths in front of them for no faking reason... then creep slowly.
