Not at all. Both tuning softwares address the issue. My research and personal experience tells me that Ecutek does it much better

first hand experience I've noticed that I seem to gas a bit 'early' but my technique hasn't changed (atleast I think not). as in my rpm's rise a bit before i actually release the clutch causing a bit of a bit of a dump like effect.

more adjustable tables and customization compared to uprev is how my tuner explained the difference. he quoted an extra hour to work through the tables on ecutek vs uprev.
