370z Popularity

I am curious as to why the 370z's never took off that well? I imagine it is hard for them to compete in the NA market with people here generally gravitating towards muscle cars. The fact they are a two-seater and small trunk space may be the practicality factor, but still. Quick cars. Great handling. Just an interesting thought that is an ever going debate I am sure.

Simple. Being a real sports car, it's a niche with low production numbers. Impracticality makes the cost tough to stomach if you're not specifically shopping for a sports car.

Understandable!

Lets also not forget at the launch of the 370 the economy was not all that great which didn't help sales.

Its also interesting that you drive a Camaro and not a Z. Is this little blurb of yours meant to somehow make you feel better about driving a Chevy? You should probably stick to your Camaro Owners forum. Just another interesting thought 🙄

No, I hate my Camaro. It is partially a lemon and I hate how GM is not backing up their warranty. I am in the market for a Z so I am just doing research.

Lots of them here down in Fl.

Good taste is a rare commodity. Thus the Z's are rare.

I just had a trucker get out of his rig parked in a Walmart Parking lot and peruse my 2011. I don't imagine that too many Camaro owners ever see that.

Domestic owners = more car for the money mentality and like the meme magnet. It is a practical and powerful car the masses.
Z owners = Ok with the 2 seater and is incredibly impractical.
Me = I don't like any other passenger than the one beside me and totally impractical.
I've resigned to the fact that domestics are butt ugly even with the power and handling. That's just me. Oh, the only thing that would make me reconsider is not even a muscle car -- it's the Focus RS.

Question to OP specifically -

Other than your specific lemon car situation, what don't you like about the camaro? What does a 370z give you that a Camaro doesn't?
