The Z has taught me that i prefer rareness over simply a quick car. Hence why I was a Volvo S60 Polestar as my DD.

I didn't know they actually released polestars. I thought they were just concepts

Yea. 2-3 years ago i believe. I have yet to see one on the roads here yet. They're affordable for very lightly used models also. I'm really tempted.

Its also interesting that you drive a Camaro and not a Z. Is this little blurb of yours meant to somehow make you feel better about driving a Chevy? You should probably stick to your Camaro Owners forum. Just another interesting thought

If you saw his other thread,he is looking to get out of his troubled Camaro & into a Z.

Total Agree. By the time things started getting better in 2013, the Z is already in its 5th model year with newer competitors. Economy downturn in Japan in the 90s' also killed many sports cars.

Question to OP specifically -

Other than your specific lemon car situation, what don't you like about the camaro? What does a 370z give you that a Camaro doesn't?

Just trying to get away from American cars and my troubled Camaro. I like to highway cruise in my Camaro because its roomy, comfortable, and feels pretty good to drive in that situation. But anything else, it feels big, laggy and if I give it too much gas, I am afraid it might fall apart. Haha. I got it for it's aggressive low profile look. I really dislike Chevy. I grew up with Toyotas. I have looked at the FR-S and BRZ, but they don't quite have enough power.

Well said :iagree:

It doesn't bother me that the Z34 never took off quite like the Z32 or Z33. In fact, everything in the world seems right every time I see a BRZ.

I am curious as to why the 370z's never took off that well? I imagine it is hard for them to compete in the NA market with people here generally gravitating towards muscle cars. The fact they are a two-seater and small trunk space may be the practicality factor, but still. Quick cars. Great handling. Just an interesting thought that is an ever going debate I am sure.

2 seaters in general is a luxury. people like us have multiple cars and a garage so no issue but for those dat have a family and can only have one car, pretty much useless.

Very good point:iagree: I would not have bought this as my primary and only car.

kenchan 04-14-2016 04:59 PM

yep. plus unless u have some wiggle room financially, having a sports car is probably no fun.

Ok, maybe I took your comments wrong. It seemed to me you were trolling and putting down the Z by suggesting it was not a desireable sports car for whatever reason, and trying to get the forum members to agree with you. So, I take back what I said. 😔
