gas station ownage
So I've been driving my new Z now for about a month now and still loving it, note I've Zainoed it and kept it detailed every week inside and out, and I keep a tiny 2oz spray bottle (target for $2) of chemical guy's quick detailer with a 16x16 microfiber towel in the glove compartment for bird craps and stuff, anyway I was at Shell today filling up my tank while quick detailing it with the spray to take some bird crap / bug on the roof and hood and this guy walked up and said "wow you're way to obsessed, your car looks super clean already I think you need to get a life." And behold there it is, he drives a ford F-150 with mud and crap all over it. Just to let people know how much of a "bad ***" he is with a dirty car Anyway just thought I'd share that with you and I saw a GT-R today and the girl gave me a thumbs up! good day at the gas station.

I've had the same conversation with a few people.
"You're telling me, you ride around with a cloth and some cleaner in case your car gets dirty? Are you serious?"

Love the Chemical Guy's detailer - smells good too! The've got an awesome tire shine for car shows (I use Optimum for daily - less slinging).
Funny how people think its OK to come up to you and make that judgement on someone they don't even know then tell you you need to get a life. What a contradiction - lol. If people took the time to take care of their cars there wouldn't be so many crap boxes running around. Besides people who take care of their cars tend to appreciate them more overall. Its not just a piece of meat you know ;P

Obviously, it's bad form to diss a stranger's behavior.
To be devil's advocate, however - I think we should admit that we are a bit OCD about our cars. Most people do not carry detailing supplies with them in their car. Taking care of a car to most people is checking and changing fluids on schedule...and running it through a car wash when it gets really dirty. I know it's horrible, but the "Z", to them, is just a car - not an icon. Their loss. |

The correct spelling for that dude is n-o-s-e-y! And, BTW, although I don't worry too much with my '04.5 Coupe's exterior (it rains a lot down here!), I am OCD with oil-changes, oil filter, coolant, K&N air filter, etc. It wasn't that guy's business to make the comment. Greetings!

I'll bet the dash board of the truck ,is covered in dust and the seats are dirty! He has skid marks in his underware. Has dirt under his finger nails, that he doesn't clean, before he foreplays his wife.
