The race track had some dips & repaved patches. As I quickly caught up to him, I had to back off at about 80 because my car was bouncing off the pavement! He could keep accelerating although bouncing some too.

You'll get banned for doing that on the street. If, say for example, it were a "Closed course with professional driver..." then ur good.
