I prayed hard to the fast and Furious gods last night and they have bestowed apon me for my loyalty and devotion the soul of my baby. SHes back! After the ECU dialed in she sounds as good as ever so don't pay attention to the raspy video xD

So - after all along a KNOWN working ESCL did the trick :) Can confirm just opening and fixing the button contact on a ESCL may not always do the trick.
