Well it depends on how hood the distiller is lol. There are flavored shines like apple pie that taste just like apple pie...very dangerous. Some taste like whisky or bourbon and some just tastes like turpentine

A lot of it depends on the distiller and his recipe. The guy I deal with has 27 different flavors. His stuff is smooth all the way down when you sip it. I like his cherry flavor. I've had some that burn all the way down, and thought that I was going blind.

Sorry to hear about that! I got rear ended at a turn signal in my brand new 1990 300ZX (less than 1,000 miles), knocked into the other lane and hit on the side by another car. They would not total the car like I wanted and nobody was injured so there was no lawsuit. Instead the car was "repaired" and I had to take it back several times. to make it better. But it was never the same and I never felt that same about it.

Try to get it totaled if you can. They are never the same after a collision.

Yup it has gotten pretty big and you can buy it in liquor stores. Most that make it keep it in the down low just because of the nostalgia of it all.

That's the commercial stuff. My last trip out to Denver (wife is from there). Went into Liquid World, and they had a bunch of stuff from small distillers. The stuff I get is home made.

There is no tax on it.

They get caught, they go to jail.

Illegal!

Yum is right...I have close friend that lives in Oregon that makes some smooth shine. I hope to get up there and get some it. The homemade stuff is way better if the distiller knows what they doing and they serve you the stuff that is the heart on the brew and not the dregs lol!
