Thats funny, thats not what my car does at 8150. Drops off, but nowhere near that much.

Also, of course its not fully tuned since you can't change timing. In fact, I bet that car did the EXACT same 290whp run 3 times in a row before you quit.

LOL, actually 288 but yeah it's hard to extract the power from the 370z. The car doesn't have as many upgrades as yours.

I'm kinda surprised at how the torque curve drops like that. I expect to see it flatter for the 370Z, like this:

different dyno's can yield vastly different looking curves

This is true. So here's one of my DynoJet runs:

Still looks flatter. Anyhow, I'm not trying to suggest that something is wrong with the car that John dyno'd. I'm just surprised the tq isn't flatter is all. Different car, different results I guess.

I guess dynos yield different curves because some dynos simulate load and some dont? Otherwise they should yield very similar curves..different numbers, but the curves should be somewhat similar?

RCZ I think you're right, though climatic conditions and correction factors could play a role in the shape of the curve?

This graph is sort of disappointing. I thought the car would just keep pulling to the new higher red line.

I'm guessing that since this is a dynojet those numbers are reflecting a stock or near stock car? Would breathing mods yield better results? (meaning power keeps pulling to redline)

interesting observation togo. I think there may be a chance you are right. I wouldnt be all that surprised if the stock engine is choking up when flowing that much air volume. Better flow up top probably means usable power. I dont know how modded the car in John's graph is, but I venture to say not too modded because of the amount of power its making on a dynojet. Intakes or exhaust maybe. The nice smooth AFR is also a sign that power came from fuel tuning, so it might even be a stockish car with a tune. Either way, point is that lack of flow mods may have been the culprit of that dip there at the end. From what I heard, our heads flow well enough to make power up to 8k....

Want to shed some light on the specs of the car John?
