Not my car btw. Is the owner a member on the forum?

Breadz 03-01-2016 04:00 PM

Few months ago he said in the comments he didnt like the Z, I'm glad this guy let him drive his well put together one.

Spooler 03-01-2016 10:23 PM

I always watch his One Takes. It was cool. Matt F. needs to bring his butt to ZdayZ 2016 and have some real fun.

TT'd 370's built properly IS the ultimate driving machine

I saw this and I was so excited. I just want someone to recognize that the 370z is better than the FRS already :/

those comments are awful

mishuko 03-02-2016 08:59 AM

I love how he almost stalls at the get go.

but the owner... I shake my head at him. i'll give him some credit using a puck clutch for commuting

did he forget to turn off VDC before smoking tires..? :ugh:

Hotrodz 03-02-2016 01:53 PM

Come on, turning down the power and yes the 6 puck can be tricky from a stop because it is a competition clutch and grabby as hell. I love mine and if you shift it with a little speed well that lag isn't any different than a NA Z.

loved the video, makes me want to get the kit sooner. Matt Farah should do another review on a z with FI TT kit running on e85

Smoking Tire: Fast intentions 465rwhp 370z REVIEW

Not his favorite car... lol. Ok. But he called our cars without a turbo, underpowered at one point. Though in another area he says our cars are fast. It just really goes to show the identity crisis people have with the Z.

Once it's modified it becomes everything people think it should be. This is the trick to a successful Z35....

Muscle car power.
Sports car nimble.

Then the complaint will be. No 2+2 model. Lol Smh.

But it's a great review regardless. The F.I. guys brought respect to our cars to those who sleep on us...

cooltoy 03-16-2016 12:22 PM

Sorry, you are too late.

he does explain his reasoning of why he had a more... negative review prior to turbo'ing the car.

sorta paraphrasing - the heavy, notchie feeling of the inputs makes sense with turbos. it feels right as if the car came purposely underpowered from the factory.

Jayhovah 03-16-2016 12:27 PM

Makes sense to me.. I really enjoyed my Z before boost... now I full on f*cking love it. Literally everyone should be saving for boost. Everyone.

I couldn't find that thread. I checked before posting. But it's a second posting not a 50th so, no harm, no foul.

I just don't agree with his steering comment. The Z is perfectly weighted even at stock power. It's heft is needed to drive it correctly. I think the generation gap in handling perception is showing. Though I may possibly be younger. Some people move with trends while I tend to stick with what's tried and true.

The Z by comparison of 98% of AFFORDABLE sports cars has the best steering feel because it still feels completely analog at moderate to high speeds. But some people are really on the electric steering kool aid.

I get you on the electric steering, the versa note i had for a little over a year had it and while yes, it did feel quicker as far as steering goes, it still had no where near the steering feel the Z has

mishuko 03-16-2016 03:48 PM

I think it got moved....

coming from e-power steering of Toyota's and such coming to the z did feel heavy. but it was heavy in a good way.

kenchan 03-16-2016 04:30 PM

wasnt dat one of the things people didnt like about DAS? u gotta have direct mechanical connection.. no?

Hotrodz 03-16-2016 05:16 PM

The biggest thing that her from race car drives and those that want have real one on one relationships with their vehicle...it's all about the feedback and e steering lacks that in spades!

There is a belief that e steering is the future where the technology will continue to evolve and the market will adapt just as drivers who own cars with e steering learn to adapt. Many of us expect and like the mechanical feedback but many future drivers will learn to like e steering.

And by doing that, the auto industry is creating one of the biggest detriments to the driving experience. Electricity is killing the excitement in driving.

I want my engine to sound like something and my steering wheel to feel like something.

Mercedes has uber quick steering while maintaining a hydraulic rack & pinion steering in the GTS. THat's why it won best drivers car and Porsche hadda take a backseat to the position.

Hotrodz 03-17-2016 09:25 AM

I do agree with Raf though about it probably being a generational thang as well. All the video game kids are now driving cars and they are okay with not having that kind of feedback. I suck at those driving games because of that lol.
