Hell no. Buy one that's slightly older and wasn't wrecked. Unless you want a track car. Then look for a better price. And a manual transmission. Either way, this is a terrible deal.

Run Forest Run! Cargurus.com has a gazillion 370z from low to high mileage with clean car fax. Take your time...too much baggage with a title like that.

Great info. However, I would be more worry about what you don't see. There was frame damages based on the before photo.
I'd rather buy a well maintained older model for the same amount of money. |

I used to have customers that would buy cars they couldn't afford with salvaged titles. By the time they got down with all the little **** that constantly popped up they would have been better off with saving a bigger down payment and buying one not salvaged. There are lots of sensors and circuitry that are just time bombs after a crash. Not to mention from and alignment issues that never seem to be made right after a crash. I would say even for a track day car I'd find a shell that a dude popped the motor and is off loading cheap before I did a salvaged titled car.

This. Salvage titles are for suckers. It's the most expensive cheap car you can buy.

I would not do it. Find yourself a clean car with no issues. You will always wonder.....

That's way too pricey for a salvaged car regardless the year and mileage.
I've bought several salvaged cars and have been fortunate and have had 0 problems with them during long term ownership. I bought my '09 Z Touring Manual in 2013 with 36K on it for $15K. I currently have 52K on it and listed it for $15K and found a buyer but it didn't sell since he couldn't get a loan for a salvage title car so be aware of that problem if/when you try to sell. During these 2 years the car has been great knock on wood. I also have an S2K that I have had for 10 years that's a rebuilt title and have had 0 issues knock on wood. Although that is a garage queen so really doesn't get used much. I think people get too freaked out with rebuilt title cars. If it checks out and the price is right (not in this case) I don't see a problem. I'd be less worried buying a rebuilt Japanese car than a preowned clean title European car! |
