My Blanca is gone:(
It was a sad day last weekend, as my lease on my 13 Z was up so decided to move on. Did a third party buyout of the Z to another individual, and it was actually the first time the Nissan dealer here in Honolulu had done one. Had good equity in her, so did not want to give back to the dealer, so I sold her locally. Was able to pocket 4.5k on the sale, so that took the sting away a little. I know I wasn't really active here, but I read and learned a lot from everyone! I am a member on countless car forums, and this group is by far the most entertaining and fun to be a part of! Thank you all for the good memories and take care! Will be getting a 16 Infiniti QX50 to replace her.....

Enjoy the new car! :tiphat:

Enjoy the new experiences :)
I learned my lesson from my father tho, every time he sees a Chevelle, he always says "I shoulda kept mine". I see the Datsun 240z and I think "what a gorgeous piece of history" today and \someday that's gonna be my 370z someday in the future with my kids thinking "wow whats that". And in the end, if all gas burners go away then I'll have one hell of a nice lawn ornament. |
Nothing wrong with hanging out here and the QX50 is a nice ride! Enjoy.

Oh I will definitely hang around just to read all the interesting conversations that go on in here! I bought my wife a 16 Civic Touring last month, and that thing is so freakin fun the drive with the lil' turbo motor. The best CVT trans I have driven yet.
Not sure about Infiniti yet though, since there is only one dealer on the island, and they absolutely refuse to work with you on pricing. They won't even remove the trumped up 3k regional market adjustment they add on. Most new car dealers here have that also, but immediately remove it from the price trying to make you feel like you are getting a 3k discount on the car. A lot of people here fall for that..... |
Best Of luck and your always welcome here

I guess that's why Lexus and Toyota dominate Oahu sales, Servco adds no additional dealer mark up. Just MSRP & doc fee, then they give you a several hundred dollar discount, add the state tax, plus reg & lic cost, but at least you know you're getting decent deal. I checked out Servco's, Waipahu Chevrolet on a C7 about a year back. The price the sales guy gave to me was equal to MSRP with doc fee, reg & lic cost included, then just add HI sales tax. This was with no negotiating. Cutter Chevrolet's adjusted market value was $5K on top of MSRP  I don't get why anybody bothers buying from Cutter, but they do. :shakes head: |
Nope, they are no longer King Infiniti. Now they are just Infiniti of Honolulu. When I told them I wouldn't pay the 3k markup and why, the salesman gave me this BS reason they charge it that they need to pay for the cars being on the lot and to keep their electricity going. WTH is that crap!?!? I also went to Lexus before getting the Civic since my wife had a 14 IS in LA, but their lease numbers are way too high both on RV and MF. They can't control it since Lexus/Toyota in HI is controlled by Lexus Japan and they have to go through Bank of Hawaii for the leases, so BoH controls the lease numbers.

OP enjoy the new ride!

ShutokuZ, Okay too bad on Infiniti, gotta use all your negotiating skills now. Lexus using BoH for leasing, ouch! Definitely not going to get good MF's from them. Best of luck on getting the QX50 at the price you want.
