The extra price for Leather Seats and a nice stock navigation look was worth the price IMO. You can always upgrade the speakers and add an amp or 2 if you want something louder like I did.

i didnt even think of climate control..thats another plus for the navi.

how did the install of the speakers and amp go? PITA to do?

It went fairly smooth. Just one hiccup with a faulty part (RE-Q5) that created some engine noise. Swapped it out and it was fine. I was able to hook up all the wiring in the back near the stock amp without having to gut my car which was a plus to me.

Anyhow, it sounds great and it can get loud enough to the point it will make you want to poo without breaking a sweat. I swapped out the fronts with 165VS Polyglass Focals and put one 12" Armageddon M-Series Kove Sub in 1.5cu ft sealed box that i built to fit where the spare tire would go. I installed 2 RF Punch Amps 600a4 for the Focals and 250.1 for the sub.

sounds like a nice setup. i dont need it super loud..i have 2 12's now..but in a car like a Z..alot can be done with 1 10.

i just didnt want the installation of an extra amp to be a big deal.

why would you not want leather seats, sorry if its a personal question, but i am in the same situation as the Thread Starter.

Im looking at the 370z w/ sports package or the 370z touring w/ sports package.

dont get me wrong..i'd love to have the leather. i want the leather...but if thats only thing i really want out of the touring...its not really worth the 5k price difference to me.

i'm just tryin to weigh out the options and see if the extra expense is really worth it..if its was 2k it wouldn't be a big deal..5k+2k for the navi is a big deal to me.

At invoice (the going sales price these days) the difference is $3876 from base to touring..

my bad..i was goin offa just retail. so almost 4k..plus 1605 for navi at invoice price..putting us at 5481 which would be the difference between base and touring with navi..

with that said...im evaluating whether $5,481 is worth it for heated seats, leather seats, navi (with not so hot audio as i hear) and some petals and not having a big pocket.

its a tough call..im seein some non navi models with after market navis which look clean..and then the stock navi obv looks clean and i like the idea of all the info i get about the car with the navi.

No problem! It wasn't to me. You're getting all the goodness the car has to offer with the Base+ sport package. If I want to go touring, I put up my $150 Garmin GPS, my visor mounted bluetooth and I'm good to go. I bought mine for the hardware, not the Luxo touches that many seen to want. Depends on your priorities I guess.....

good point..ill have to wait til the nissans by me get the '10 touring with navi in stock to make a decision.

Get it fully loaded...You won't regret it!!

To be honest, you can get the luxury of the Touring or the performance of the Nismo, just by adding aftermarket stuff. Some will debate whether oem is better or worse than aftermarket, but the options are there.

Price out what the aftermarket equivalents would be of the options that come with Touring and Base/Sports (or even Nismo) and see what you're gaining/losing vs going with OEM.

No one can tell you which is right for you but you.

Since I am done with modding, with the exception of a CBE in the near future, my sig speaks for itself.

I would like leather but it honestly doesnt matter, but i want the bose sound system, and i cant get the bose w/o the leather.
