Hi
My new baby Z is not even 20 day's old and I got rear ended this morning :shakes head: I am ok just sore due to the hit but I am really mad and sad right now.
Do any off you have any guidance or inputs on diminished value claims? I know the car will get a hit on value and I don't want the insurance company to take take advantage of me.

Thank you all in advance!

HOLY SHIIIT MAN!!!!
I just read your introduction and it's damaged already!!!

That really sucks. Good luck getting it sorted out

If you have the insurance for the other driver, File a claim through their claims department. Hopefully it goes well
If they end up denying your claim, go to your insurance company, pay the Collision deductible and have your car fixed. Let your insurance company worry about subrogation.

I work for state farm in California, let me know if you have any questions about anything. Rules and regulations differ per state, but I'll be willing help as much as I can.

I just filed the claim and I talked to the Claims Adjuster and they will take care off everything, she took my statement and will call me back once she talks to the other driver.

Thank you birdman71

Not even 20 days in Ouch! My condolences and welcome to the forum.

Ugh! How sad. And such a beautiful car, too.

With all my "near misses," I always wonder how in hell someone can't see a red car.

Glad you're ok. Good luck with an expeditious repair and return!

littlejuanito 01-26-2016 04:09 PM

What insurance are you dealing with?

And yes there are companies out there that will do a diminished value assessment. You aren't going to get very far with the insurance company without one.

I certainly do not approve of this message. ...still dealer tagged. Glad it wasn't more serious. Easier to fix a car's azz than yours.
