Looks like this is an old thread, but I have to say I think I prefer SRM off for daily stop and go driving. There's something initally cool about the throttle blip when going from 3rd or neutral to 2nd for a simple turn, but it seems to wear off fast. I feel with SRM off I get a much smoother, linear acceleration and shift from 1st to 2nd.
If I were on the highway I think SRM is great, just not so sure I want it on every day. My comments may be a bit biased considering 80% of the time I am driving an Acura with a manual transmission, perhaps with it off it's just an easier transition between the two. |
