On a side note I get better gas milage w/out using it around town as I drive with traffic, but weekends when I can let loose and remian under 100 mph the gas milage drops by a few mpg...just my 2 cents.
When I bought the Z almost 9k miles ago I left the button on 100% of the time which led me to re read this post and see if anyone else had responded about the consecuences of any wear on the vehicle...is there any and where, thanks |

I've turned the SRM feature off from day one and I still feel that there is RPM float when upshifting. That is, 1st gear going into 2nd, clutch in at 3K RPM and the car holds it there briefly instead of dropping immediately. I'm by no means an expert MT shifting pro, but I still need to wait a good 0.5-1s after I'm ready to clutch out. If I don't wait, then the RPM will be too high and jerk the car on reengagement.
How the heck do I fix THAT? |

That's exactly what it sounds like Z_ealot's saying... makes sense with a 30+lb flywheel

You are correct sir! My current Z as well as my first Z both did it even with the syncro rev turned off...pretty sure someone has commented on this forum before about how their lightened flywheel they had installed made their revs come down much quicker
