Hey guys, just had a random thought. Earlier this summer the transmission in my Nismo was replaced under warranty. Service advisor assured it was indeed new and not rebuilt or remanufactured. Is it likely that this transmission was picked from an inventory that would have been used for, say, the original equipment transmissions in the brand new 2015/2016 Zs?
Or does Nissan allocate a particular replacement stock for such situations? I would hate to find out that this transmission was a new spare way back in 2009 when the car was introduced, which would suck because it's been sitting and I may have missed out on any revisions since. Questions applies to engines, transmissions and other big ticket items. Thanks! Last edited by Rahul718; 01-15-2016 at 10:31 PM. |
