Companies do not like to have a bunch of excess stock laying around. The more expensive an item, the more they dislike it. I doubt that many dealerships keep big

Companies do not like to have a bunch of excess stock laying around. The more expensive an item, the more they dislike it. I doubt that many dealerships keep big ticket items in their stock. While it's possible to get a new "obsolete" trans or engine, it's not likely. Check casting numbers if in doubt.
