Looking at a 2011 370z, What do you guys think of this car?
Hey,
I think I found a 370z that looks pretty good. The dealer is only 75 miles away from me. It sure beats finding something 1000 miles away, flying there, and driving it back. It's being serviced right now, so the sales guy sent me these quick phone pics.It looked pretty clean inside. The stats are as follows: Year: 2011 Mileage: 18k One Owner Sport Pkg So the price...they are asking $20,999 which seems fair. I would've preferred a 2013, but they are priced $2-3k more. Anyway, what do you guys think? Sounds reasonable? Anything I should look out for? This could be the one! |

I noticed the exhaust as well. Even the shifter is aftermarket. It's probably not a big deal, but you never know.
I know a few things about cars, but the 370z is new to me. Anything underneath the car that I can check out by myself? |

the lower price seems a bit sketchy to me than the average market price. blacked out fog light (not a hard thing to do) has me suspecting the owner tinkered with the car as well.
carfax on the car? (atleast it's a starting point albeit may not be super up to date) |

did the 11's come with the blacked out rear dummy fog? my 09 came with the tinted dummy which i later replaced with a JDM working lamp.
as for checking undercarriage, i would bring a picture of the factory 370z exhaust and compare it with the Z u plan to buy. might not be just the muffler/catback that was changed. |

The salesperson indicated that there are no blemishes or scratches on the car. But, the headlights have minor fading, not sure if that's normal for 370z or not.
The driver's seat has a couple of wrinkles. It has a nice clean carfax. pics below It's one of those things that I just need to see it in person..... |

the haze on the lens is not normal, but you can polish it.
never understood the hazing.. my 12yr old G35C has no hazing and i use that car sometimes for dd'ing in the summer months. probably from auto carwashes. |

I always worry about buying cars with mods when I don't know who owned it and did the wrench work. Guys start modding and start driving harder a lot times.

I would rather start with complete stock vehicle but that is not always an option. If you go to look at it, maybe try to hit up a couple local members to look it over with you. I believe you should never buy a vehicle alone. The more eyes the better as somtimes it's easy to overlook things when blinded by excitement.

Fairly cheap price..with low miles. Looks to be in decent shape. Has pretty heavy seat wear for less than 20k miles .
I personally would not even consider buying it just because it has (slight?) modifications done to it.. just my . Not my thing. |
