I will share I owned a 2005 Corvette before although it is a fun vehicle to own for a domestic sport car it is far from perfect lol. Corvette’s are quite common a lot of people own them and for a domestic sport car they are wanted vehicles and have good overall resale value out of a lot of the American sports cars out there (Camaro, Challenger, Mustang etc.) The 2005 Corvette I purchased was ok until down the line there are curtain issues that will dollar you to death (Corvette Tax) and could never be fixed. As far I can remember the Corvette I had suffered from the following issues pinion seal leaked twice, electrical issues that could never be fixed by the Chevrolet dealership service department, fuel pump failure, fuel level sensor failure, check engine light due to gasoline cap issue, leaking water pump that caused coolant leaking, steering wheel position sensor failure, the LS2 engine had high oil consumption issues and had to do oil changes earlier and check the motor oil level on the dip stick quite often. If you do purchase a C6 Corvette be sure to get a 2008+ Corvette I believe the LS3 is a all around better engine in my opinion. Most will agree that the C6 body style looks more tasteful than the C7 Corvette but the C7 Corvette makes more power of course. I would not purchase a Corvette again without some kind of warranty. The Nissan 370Z may have it’s corks but not only will the 370Z make a way better daily driver it is far more reliable/dependable than the Corvette from my own personal experience. If you have the budget for a build the 370Z can be made fast as well. I believe the pluses of the Nissan 370Z is that not everyone has a 370Z they seem to be more rare than the Corvette I think. For a Japanese sports car they are wanted vehicles too and have good resale value for owners. The biggest blunder with the C6 Corvette I thought is the independent rear suspension design at the track it was not good and left a lot to be desired.

I wouldn't get anything less than a C7 Corvette Grandsport. They are great handling cars with very few issues. The C7 ZO6 has overheating issues on the track, get a later model one 2018 to 2019. The C7 ZR1's are going for way over sticker. Would I get ride of my Z, heck no.
