Common AC issues?

As I continue my search for a Z, I've noticed several of the have had AC work.

Google didn't lead me to believe there were any common issues.

What's the story?

People installing cold air intakes and they didn't protect the A/C line. So, they would have a leak where it rubbed through on the line.
Or, they installed a CSF radiator and it didn't seal properly at the dryer.

Going by what I've read on this site (or rather what I haven't read), the A/C seems to be very reliable. As per Spooler, most problems seem to be the result of poor mechanicing.

Common AC issues?

My compressor went bad at about 65,000 miles, but I don't think it's a common issue

What did replacement set you back?

Op,

Like it has been already pointed out.

AC issues are not very common, But can happen for obvious reasons like the installation of an aftermarket CAI or a rare compressor failure.

Sorry I can't reply to costs.

I personally wouldn't factor that in IF you are looking to buy used or NEW.
