Pickup trucks, happened again

I think rednecks are being confused with ignorant buttholes and are getting a bad rap here. I live in the redneck epicenter and have never had this issue.

They were so close I could see shadows from the hair on my hands. Over the years, individuals I met, including my neighbors, allowed they did not like "Furin" cars especially Japanese sports cars. The same happened with my 09' 370Z. From December 2014 to November 2015, I drove a Dodge Challenger. Didn't happen once. Now I'm back in a Z, only one month and the following story has happened twice.
On Saturday I was driving up my street, a quiet residential neighborhood with a speed limit that goes from 35 to 25. I was on the way to the woods to go hiking. At the one stop sign on my long street, I saw a large black vehicle approaching at a high rate of speed. I pulled out and continued on at 35. Within seconds, he was on my bumper. He raced up to me at a high rate of speed and stopped inches from my bumper. And he stayed there. I looked in the door side mirror. It was a primer black Chevy, stacked quad headlights, pickup with a lift kit and no front plate. The driver was late teens/early twenties, short blonde hair, ball cap. I drove about an eighth of a mile and slowed (with signal) to turn onto a side street. The driver of the Chevy pickup laid on the horn. I was pissed and yelled "What's your problem redneck!" He honked again and gave me the finger.
I'm an older guy and old school. I will keep my cell phone (a flip phone...I told you. old) out of my pocket and on to call the police next time. Any suggestions? This was in Blue Springs Missouri on Roanoke drive between highway 7 and Adams Dairy
i would just stop put emergency lights on and not move, make him back up and go around.

I definitely understand your frustration. There are some redneck hillbilly drivers out there that are just dumbasses.

The Z brings out the worst in people. Dumbass in a huge truck with a huge trailer started buzzing me and cutting me off as a display of male dominance and repressed homosexuality yesterday.

Then a Fiesta ST did a burnout at a light.

I hate big trucks, but at least they're easy to maneuver around seeing as they all weigh 8000lbs and suffer major turbo lag.

Default A lot going on out there

I think this reinforces how careful we all need to be. I used to have a bike and loved riding it but (I was living in California) it seemed too many drivers wanted to kill people on motorcycles. It got so bad I sold it. Ironically, on the way home yesterday, I had a Ford F350 pull right up on my bumper at a light with every light on possible. It was 3 p.m. not dark. His lights were so bright I had to turn my mirrors up. Diving in front of a motorhome and hitting the brakes is crazy. I guess people don't consider how hard it would be to slow one of them or an 18 wheeler. My concern is the people who have some problem with sports cars. The guy I described Saturday didn't just tail gate me, he came racing up at me doing close to 60 in a 35 zone and got so close even a tap of my brakes and I get hit. Those people shouldn't be on the road

like i mentioned earlier, do something about it by getting a rear facing dashcam and make a case to the police. dat is your first step to your recovery.

no sense feeling like crap everyday when u should be out enjoying your Z.
pretty soon each time you look at your Z ur mind will condition urself to think 'getting bullied by rednecks.'

You are right as usual and always have great advice. Yeah, if this is going to be a problem, I am taking your advice. I never had this problem when I lived on the east coast and I had one sports car after another.

i was fat as a child. first step to recovery was to put down my bag of cheeto's.

it was a difficult step, but glad i took care of it before it became a bigger (literally) problem..

Default Good advice all

I will say this, I am not afraid of the people who have tried to intimidate me with some really bad driving. They are fortunate I am a level headed man. That is all I can say on a forum.

Dash cam is the best idea... but if you wanted to be slightly aggressive (lots of modifications):

Default I am in class and laughing so hard

The last two posts are hysterical. Oh man, that would do the trick. I was thinking about hooking up a universal windshield washer fluid tank, motor of course, and fill it with buck rut urine or something like that and spray it into their grill (and hopefully up through the vents) but the flame idea is way better.

If that was a true redneck, they would be getting closer to take a bath in that buck rut urine... They love the stuff.
